Lundi Matin & Floa | The meeting of two experts

The paths of two major commercial players have converged toward a shared goal: revolutionising the payment experience for retailers and their customers. On one side is Lundi Matin, an expert in commercial management. And on the other, Floa : one of the French leaders in split payments. 


Lundi Matin have established themselves as an indispensable partner for retailers. From intuitive checkouts to sophisticated accounting tools, along with real-time inventory management, this all-in-one solution has won over retail and e-commerce professionals. 


And alongside them, Floa, a subsidiary of the BNP Paribas group, is shaking up traditional payment norms and has already attracted over 4 million customers and 15,000 e-retail2 partners with flexible split payment solutions. 


 What could be a more obvious choice than combining our strengths and creating a unique synergy that can transform the buying and selling experience? The result is a collaboration that redefines payment standards in retail and offers retailers (as well as their customers) an integrated, agile, and powerful solution.

The adventure begins | Galeries Lafayette

The collaboration between Floa and Lundi Matin was put to the test with its first major challenge: creating a made-to-measure solution for Galeries Lafayette, a veritable institution in French retail. An ambitious project to mark the beginning of this adventure!

The goal? Designing a split payments pathway that perfectly integrates with the complex ecosystem of Galeries Lafayette, whilst providing an impeccable customer experience. 


The major challenge was reconciling the technical specificities of existing systems, maintaining the quality and high level of customer experience, and the need to guarantee the fluidity of in-store operations. 

A flawless customer pathway was designed for Galeries Lafayette, which lives up to our partners’ high expectations. Customers can now benefit from seamless split payments. The sales staff, equipped with the Lundi Matin checkouts, offer these payment options in just a few clicks, transforming every interaction into a sales opportunity.

The expansion phase

After their resounding success with Galeries Lafayette, Floa and Lundi Matin have continued their development. The first step was creating a generic payment pathway in 3x and 4x formats1 in order to make split payments accessible to all retailers. This new pathway, the fruit of our combined expertise, provides simplified integration, and an optimised customer experience. Now, whether you’re a major brand, or an independent store, you can offer your customers the flexibility of split payments directly integrated into your checkout software. 

The second step was adapting the split payments solution to the main e-commerce platforms of the Lundi Matin group, such as Oxatis and Gezy. This was a huge step forward for e-retailers, who were thus able to provide a smooth and flexible payment experience, in line with consumer expectations.

Once the offering was fine-tuned, we set our sights on Spain (where Floa was already established), which was chosen because of its dynamism That development had to be adapted to the specificities of the Spanish market, whilst retaining the essence of the solution: flexibility, simplicity, and effectiveness. This phase demonstrated the scalability of the solution born of the collaboration between FLOA and Lundi Matin, no matter what the client profile: large chains, small businesses, and e-commerce.

Behind the scenes of innovation

How has the partnership worked? Behind every great innovation, there is a meticulous process, the fruit of active collaboration. It all began with a brainstorming workshop. Payments experts from Floa and management software experts from Lundi Matin got together to design the ideal payment pathway, based around operational efficiency. This synergy led to the innovative idea of an in-store securely-linked payments system, perfectly merging the physical and digital worlds. 

Once the concept was approved, it was time for the deployment phase. Every detail was scrutinised, and every scenario envisaged. The integration of the Lundi Matin checkout with Floa’s split payment solutions was rigorously tested. Nothing was left to chance, so as to guarantee smooth payment experience, for both retailers as well as for their customers. 

And innovation doesn’t end after launch. The post-launch phase was characterised by rigorous monitoring and continuous improvement. During the initial months, the Floa and Lundi Matin teams were on hand to collect user feedback, analyse usage data, and make real-time adjustments. This agile approach allowed the solution to be constantly refined, tailoring it to evolving market needs. 

By combining their expertise, Floa and Lundi Matin have not only redefined the standards of retail payments1, but have also opened up the way for a new era of more flexible, effective, and customer-centric commerce.
